Art at the Bend

Part of the mission at Riverbend is to support and encourage the arts, so Riverbend Women developed an annual fundraising event called Art at the Bend that showcases local artists. Not only does it give them a platform to sell their work, but the donated proceeds from sales go towards various charities, missions, and ministries. The goal is for Art at the Bend to be open and inviting to all art lovers and have a range of items at affordable price points for sale.

Task

Create branding that was completely separate from Riverbend’s brand, which sometimes can feel corporate. The tone for Art at the Bend is approachable and vibrant, yet professional. It’s artsy but also conveys you’re going to see proficiency in skill and quality artwork. The style is a nod to cubism and modern art, utilizing shapes and splashes of color. Along with the branding, I designed print and digital assets for Art at the Bend, and was the photographer for the event (2021/2022).
